This Monday, October 26, from 10am through 2pm we are hosting an Open House for those who would like to learn more about our school and consider enrolment. We know from experience that personal referrals or word of mouth is one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful, way in which people learn about educational options.
As you may also already know, we plan to open our Early Primary Learning Centre at Matthews Hall in September of 2027 and can accept applications beginning on November 9, 2026 when the applications become available. Children need to turn 3 years old by December 31, 2027 in order to apply and enroll in September, 2027.
With that in mind, I am wondering if you can lend our school a hand.
If you know someone who could benefit from our school, someone who is looking for a balanced and supported learning journey, encourage them to come see us on Monday. As members of our community, your thoughts and those of your children are meaningful to others and validate the wonderful learning environment here at Matthews Hall.
You provide a unique and invaluable social proof of the quality of our learning journey, far beyond what other outreach initiatives may achieve, and in speaking to friends, neighbours, or colleagues your endorsements are seen as highly credible and authentic by others researching educational options. A personal story about your child’s academic growth, extracurricular success, or the overcoming of an obstacle, provide tangible evidence of the school’s value. This word-of-mouth advocacy transforms an abstract concept of an independent education into a relatable, desirable reality.
The emotional connection created through a family’s genuine testimony can truly move the needle for prospective families. When a current parent shares their authentic experience—detailing the ‘why’ and ‘how’ Matthews Hall has positively impacted their child, they are sharing a success story. This genuine passion and firsthand knowledge can overcome the natural hesitation families may feel about investigating an independent education. By personally inviting others to the Open House, parents offer a warm, peer-to-peer welcome, making the first step in the school exploration process less intimidating and more like joining a supportive community. Your enthusiasm creates a vital link between the school’s mission and the emotional aspirations of families looking for the best possible educational journey for their child.
